WTF Moment - The Force Unleashed

( 2 Votes ) Every gamer has their own WTF in the games that they play. This time i will explain my most recent WTF moment. The game that this WTF moment belongs to is Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.



Well on the 2nd to last level of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, there is a mission that makes you want to just burn the game CD or to break the controller in half. This mission requires you to bring down a Star Destroyer from orbit around the planet to the ground. The image above shows just that. Well first off in order to do this, you need to press around 4 or so different buttons not to mention the need to use the six-axis on the PS3 control to make the Star Destroyer crash on to the planet.

Sound easy enough? Whoops, i forgot to mention that you need to move the ship in a zig-zag pattern across the screen around 4 or 5 points. You have a certain time limit to get the ship to each point of the zig-zag, give or take a minute to reach each point. If you don't get the ship to the certain check point in the time frame, the ship returns to its previous check point.



Sadly, however this is not the end of this WTF moment. If you take more than the given minute to reach the check point, you will start to get attacked by a handful of Tie Fighters. You need to destroy all of them before can resume your mission in bringing down the ship. Depending on your skill level, it may take a few minutes to destroy them all.

To make matters even worse, the directions that the game shows you, that being where to move the analog sticks in a certain fashion, is completely messed up. When you think that the screen is showing you to move the sticks upward, it actually means that you do not need to move the sticks at all.

To tell the truth, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, is one of the best games i have ever played. It is truly worthy of having the Star War title. However, when it takes you almost the same time to complete this one level as it takes to finish the game, then something certainly wrong.
