Welcome to the club. I've personally been preaching this same thing since World at War came out. I totally agree with everything you said (except one thing), and I didn't have to cancel my pre-order for MW2, because I never intended on giving Activision my support any more. It was my W@W pre-order that I cancelled. The only money Activision has gotten from me, and I honestly felt like I was sinning because their name is on the box, was Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. But the MARVEL fanboy in me over-rode my logic center.

But honestly, this is the fault of gamers who rewarded them by buying every Guitar Hero even though it was just the same ol' same ol', and they also rewarded Act. by buying W@W in droves when it was just more of the same ol' same ol'. And no one was willing to admit it was just the same ol'. It was reviewed highly, with no mention of how the series hasn't progressed, and reviewer will be just as kind with MW2, even though it's STILL just more of the same...just even MORE unbalanced that MW1 was.

But you guys made your bed, now have to either lay in it, or burn that bed bug filled matress like you should have done last year. The only way to burn the matress is to NOT buy the game. But gamers won't do the right thing. Look at any busy forum. Luckily some people are waking up and calling MW2 what it is......but not enough. Even MORE people are super excited for the game like it's the 2nd comng of Jesus...oh wait....3rd coming....Obama was the 2nd coming OBVIOUSLY (sarcasm btw) Unfortunately MW2 will probably sell just as good as CoD4 did. Gamers, just like all the rest of the world's population today are nothing but complacent sheep, doing as they are told by their respective media outlets.

The only thing I disagree with you on is your interperatation of why PC gamers hate console gamers. They may TELL themselves what you stated is the reason they hate us, but that's not true. Because based on that description you gave, PC gamers are FAR worse. PC gamers are some of the worst gamers as people, I've ever had coversations with. Not ALL of them of course....but many. IMO those people are the ignorant selfish a*shole, and thieves to boot, that don't care about anyone else, including developers of games who put work into an awesome game, and they turn around and steal it whenever posible.....as long as they get what THEY want....and for free. Just sayin'.

I partially blame the youth for the piles of shit they are pushing on us. Think about it. Most of the people saying "quit b*tching and just buy it and play it" are children who are most likely under 20 years old and have their first job working at abercrombie or hollister. They have no idea that by paying an extra ten dollars for a game your telling the industry we gamers think its ok to start charging an extra ten. Then in a year or two they decide to try pushing another ten. Not to mention the game is identical to the first one with the tiniest additional bit of graphic improvement. I say screw that I still have COD 4 installed and Bad Company comes out in March ill wait. The halo kids can have fun with their second favorite game ever.

Typical lil console fanboy, do you not realise if they can do this to PC they can and most probably will do this to you in the future. Im not gunna start a "whos junk is bigger contest" but i like PC because it gives me a PC experience if i wanted to have a console experice i would get it on console (i have both) They have taken something vital out of PC gaming and we want it back. When it happens to you.. even tho your acting like a tool i will still support you. Shame i cant expect the same.

I do too, but that doesn't mean that when a company takes short-cuts that gamers should defend them just because it's a triple A title either.We need to defend fellow gamers not the big corporations

Being a computer user as for everything on the internet, it makes sense that i spend my cash on that alone, ISP charges money for internet…i don’t want to pay twice with an Haxbox360 with no real multilayer..it is vary lame, it would like be dumbing us down, and i would miss my high resolution for games as well….the day they quit making all pc games without Dedicated server code …still wont make me get a Console Haxbox360…as for IW COD mw2 they get none of my cash
Ive bin gaming since the early 80.s,,All digital games where born on a computer,,,,ever here of an 8088, Hyperion probably not…vic 20 comadore 64 ,console gaming has always bin a money grabber,,intelavision, ATARI console, Sega genises Sega Saturn Nintendo 1 super Nintendo ps1 ps2 ps3 Haxbox haxbox 360 Game cube, Wii ….console never live long and dri up fast for the newest version…cost more money now then ever additions/addons of everykind if you got the cash…to get it all before the new console comes out and they stop the host connection for you.dame no resale value.you are vary limited…on a console…getting to a computer PC MAC…Linux…gaming on pc, work on pc it is endless no limits to capability..and will run for years and years..pc may seem more costly than console but is not …compared to features that is a given you have a choice how you want your pc. THERE IS NONE AT ALL on a console at least on all the consoles i have tried…that is ps1 ps2 ps3 haxbox haxbox360…why settle for last in quality.all businesses have dedicated servers they cant live with out them even IW needs dedicated servers they know the value of them ,high power computing to handle there business computers..but they wont tell you that,,,but it is a given..ever here of Linux servers, micro soft business server ,,they need that stuff or there business would literally crash…but you console dont need it because you not worth it..hard ware you use is light years behind anything is the real digital world,,,that is why Pc gamers require dedicated servers because pc gamers are on the cutting edge of technology in the now digital world…if mico soft said to IW you cant have dedicated servers for you lan and internet …they would sh*t there pants they would be put out of business simple as that IW that is. the whole internet is Dedicated servers…how do you think you can go to a web page like IW..on the internet…by not having dedicated servers for cod mw2 hurts anyone that uses internet…you pay that isp dont you…servers are payed by the users who rent or buy them..revenue that adds real value to internet…by removing detected servers from games on pc will hurt all pc users as prices will go up for all servers like where you host you web site…your blog you business page..anything on the web ….because it is all ON SERVERS…if you cant see or grasp whats going on here..do some research..on the internet itself…

yeah, it's easy, I won't pay a game developer any money for what is basically a crippled game. I WILL pay someone else though for a decent game however, and will just download mw2 for the single player.
It is easy on PC to just download games, luckily though, a lot of people still pay for them (I do) but what they are doing is just making that decision of 'download or buy' WAY easier.
btw I am amazed at how something like this has all of a sudden gotten console gamers (well, outspoken idiot ones anyway, I don't like grouping people because of platform choice) up in arms and anti-pc.
