Sonys Already in First Place
- Wednesday, 18 November 2009
Even PSN seems to be catching up to Xbox Live. It’s certainly more appealing seeing how it’s free, and with things like cross game voice chat possibly coming in a later firmware update Sony is closing in on the competion. Unless Microsoft has an ace up its sleeve there’s no possible way it can win next year. But in all honesty do really want Sony to be in first place? Sure, in my opinion they deserve it, but maybe being in last place has given them more of a competitive edge. It’s quite possible that these great games would still be just as good, but I believe being in last place has made a positive impact on Sony’s overall growth as company. They’ve never had to deal with being in last place, and as long as their paying attention they will walk away from this Generation wiser.
I’m almost completely confident that Sony will take the crown this gen, but what I believe will be the most fun to watch is how well they do with the next generation, and I can almost guarantee one thing for sure Sony has learned a great deal from watching Microsoft’s big mistakes this gen.
Whatever happens I’ll remain a proud PS3 owner and yes they’ll always be games on the other console that I wish I could play, but the fact remains that Sony is always the one to beat and in every other generation they’ve never been bested.
