Microsoft’s new 360 controller will the most expensive on the market, at $65, when it launches, this is a whopping $20 more than Sony's dual shock 3, you would expect a huge improvement, but Sony’s controller still manages to be much more technologically advanced than Microsoft’s new controller.

The new controller Microsoft has created sees a lot of improvements, such as a D-Pad redesign that allows you to either have the Plus, or you can switch back to the crappy circle design. The controller also now features a rechargeable system built in. Wit all of these changes however, there really isn’t anything to justify the extra $20 you are spending on this piece of hardware, especially when Sony does the exact same thing for $20 less.

Not to mention that the Dualshock 3 has even more features built in than even the new Xbox 360 controller. The DS3 still has sixaxis technology, which has proven very useful in games such as Killzone 2, and Flower, providing a different experience not possible on the Xbox. The DS3 also packs Bluetooth tech, allowing for up to 8 controllers to be connected at once, unlike Xbox’s 4. Not to mention, the DS3’s battery pack lasts about the same, but charges much quicker, with a 10min plug in providing a 2 hour charge.

So is the new Xbox controller worth it? Simply, no, it does not provide enough features to justify the price, especially when the Dualshock 3 has the same features, and more, for $20 less.
