Section 8 Closed Beta Ends, Open Beta Begins

The Section 8 Closed Beta has been giving gamers an early speak at the upcoming first-person shooter and helping the developers improve the game in the process, but the closed beta comes to an end August 9th at 12:00AM CST and an open beta is to begin soon. Hit the jump for more details.

Everyone who has been participating in the closed beta thus far will be automatically included in the open beta. A specific date for the open beta still hasn't been hammered out, but emails will be sent to those who have registered with Timegate Studio's website when it is available. Keep in mind, all this information pertains only to the PC version of Section 8 and not the Xbox 360 platform, although a demo will be available for the Xbox 360 shortly after release on August 25th, 2009 for North America.
